2009 ASDC Conference - A HUGE Success!!
ASDC would like to send a very special thank you to EVERYONE at the Oklahoma School for the Deaf. OSD out did themselves on putting on a successful and fun conference. With more than 300 people in attendance, everyone left with new and exciting information, new friends, and lots of energy.
The Conference features exciting Keynote Presentations from Rachel Coleman of Signing Times, and Ed Bosso of the Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center. Workshops included topics such as ASDC's Key Parent Training, The Mainstreaming Puzzle, Dads and Raising Deaf Children, How to Prepare Your Child for College, Enriching Children's Communication Opportunities, and so much more.
Family evening activities included a Family Round Up and State Fair, Native American Cultural Night, and a Rodeo.
The children were kept busy every day with activities and field trips to the Arbuckle Wilderness Center, Seminole Children's Museum, and Turner Falls for Swimming.
The ASDC Biennial Conference is once again an event never to be forgotten.
Another Thank You to everyone at OSD for the wonderful job sponsoring the 2009 ASDC Biennial Conference.
