Join a unique team of deaf/ hard of hearing and fully hearing students on an extraordinary expedition into the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. Explore the rainforest's complex acoustical environment while engaging in leadership development, global conservation studies, authentic cross- cultural interaction and meaningful service. The nonprofit Global Explorers is excited to partner with Hear the World, a global initiative by hearing systems manufacturer Phonak, to pilot the Hear the World Expeditions program. Aimed to provide a life-changing travel experience for a diverse group of full-time students ages 17-22, the program also creates a unique platform that spreads awareness and education about hearing and hearing loss.
